Camp Overview:

  • Duration: 4 weeks (1 month)
  • Location: Silicon Valley, California
  • Age Group: 10-17 years old
  • Focus: English language learning, cultural immersion, and exposure to Silicon Valley’s tech industry
  • Tuition Cost: $1890
  • Deposit: $200 (refundable)
  • Application Fee: $100 (nonrefundable)
  • Accommodation (boarding, food,  and commute): $1500 (if needed)


One Month Schedule

Week 1: Introduction and Language Immersion

Theme: Get Acquainted with English and San Jose

  • Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

    • English Classes: Focus on conversational English, vocabulary building, and basic grammar. Classes will include group activities, role-playing, and interactive learning methods.
  • Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

  • Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

    • Cultural Immersion Workshops: Activities focused on American culture, customs, and traditions. This includes learning about the history and diversity of San Jose.
    • Local Sightseeing: Visits to nearby attractions such as the Winchester Mystery House, San Jose Museum of Art, and Santana Row.
  • Evening (Optional)

    • Welcome BBQ Party: A casual get-together for students to meet and mingle.

Week 3: Practical Language Use and Exploration

Theme: Hands-On Learning and Exploration

  • Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

    • English Practice in Real-Life Scenarios: Students will engage in activities like debates, group discussions, and mock interviews to enhance their language proficiency.
  • Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

  • Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

    • Local Business Visits:
      • Tech Museum of Innovation: Hands-on exhibits and workshops that explore the role of technology in everyday life.
      • NVIDIA: Visit to understand the development of graphics processing units (GPUs) and their impact on gaming and AI.
  • Evening (Optional)

    • Outdoor Activities: Group activities such as hiking in the nearby Santa Cruz Mountains or a visit to the beach.

Week 2: Language Advancement and Company Visits

Theme: Discover Silicon Valley

  • Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

    • Advanced English Classes: Focus on business English, writing skills, and presentations. Students will prepare for company visits by learning relevant industry terminology.
  • Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

  • Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

    • Company Visits:
      • Google Headquarters: A tour of the Googleplex in Mountain View to learn about innovation and technology.
      • Apple Park: Visit the Apple Park Visitor Center in Cupertino, with a focus on product design and company history.
      • Tesla Factory: A visit to Tesla’s Fremont factory to see the production line and learn about sustainable energy.
  • Evening (Optional)

    • Movie Night: Watch a popular American movie in English with subtitles to improve listening skills.

Week 4: Language Mastery and Cultural Experience

Theme: Culmination of Learning and Cultural Exchange

  • Morning (9:00 AM – 12:00 PM)

    • Final English Projects: Students work on presentations, essays, or projects to demonstrate their language progress. This may include a group project on a tech-related topic or a presentation about their cultural experiences.
  • Lunch Break (12:00 PM – 1:00 PM)

  • Afternoon (1:00 PM – 4:00 PM)

    • Cultural Exchange Events:
      • Visit to Stanford University: Explore the campus and learn about American higher education.
      • Cultural Fair: Students prepare presentations or performances about their own cultures to share with local students.
  • Evening

    • Farewell Dinner: A closing ceremony with certificates of completion, student presentations, and a final group dinner to celebrate the end of the camp.

Chaperoning During Travel

For families with children traveling overseas, we offer chaperoning services for groups of ten or more children. Our attentive and reliable chaperones will accompany the group every step of the way, ensuring their safety and well-being during the journey. If your child is not part of a group of five, we kindly ask that parents make their own arrangements to ensure a safe trip for their child.

Health and Safety Protocols:
All participants need to purchase travel insurance. The school ensures that all activities follow appropriate health and safety guidelines, including access to medical care if needed.
Emergency Contact Information: Provide students and parents with clear communication channels in case of emergencies.

Supervision

On-Campus Supervision: Our experienced camp counselors and English instructors are dedicated to ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all students throughout the camp. They will be actively involved in overseeing daily activities, offering guidance, and addressing any concerns that may arise, ensuring your child has a positive and enriching experience.
