Read the passage and answer the questions that follow.

Many international students choose colleges that offer practical career preparation as well as academic study. In a strong learning environment, students do more than memorize information. They practice communication, solve realistic problems, and receive feedback from instructors. These experiences help students build confidence for interviews, workplace conversations, and future studies.

However, language development takes time. Students who attend regularly, ask questions, and review feedback usually make faster progress than students who study only before exams. Consistent practice is especially important for speaking and writing because both skills require active use, not passive recognition.
